YA Bound Book Tours Button

Welcome to one of the January 26th stops on the blog tour for Throne of Lies by Sara Secora, organized by YA Bound Book Tours. Be sure to follow the rest of the tour for promos, other guest posts, and even some reviews!

This is a guest post stop, so I’ll le Sara take it away and then I’ll be back with more information about the book & author.

What Is Your Favorite Part of the Writing Process?

While writing novels can be grueling due to the intense hours of painstaking writing, I do find a deeply fulfilling and purposeful enjoyment that always keeps me pressing through.

A major element to that is when I witness people being transported into the worlds I’ve created and seeing them meet with the characters that I’ve spent years bonding with. To see strangers forming their own relationships and interests with my stories and those I’m writing about is such a unique feeling that I find it hard to explain. But in a way, I would say it feels almost intimate when people step into my stories and unknowingly learn about pieces of me that are scattered throughout them.

Moreover, as a pantser writer, I love writing in an open-ended way. Oftentimes, my stories unfold themselves in unique ways. Since I use such a loose structure when writing, that allows my characters to even surprise me and open new plot pathways before me.

All in all, writing is creative work that bares the author’s soul, and I love every obstacle and reward it offers.

For seventeen-year-old princess Amethysta Serelle, the royal life is anything but enchanting.

She finds herself forever torn between duty and desire—desperately craving freedom, yet bound by the burden of her bloodline. With the realm of Vataenya divided by intolerance, and stained by a veiled and violent past, none take kindly to those who are different. For Amethysta’s sake, her mother must conceal her daughter’s mystifying secret from all—including from Amethysta herself.

Once driven to her wit’s end, Amethysta sets out on an unrelenting search for answers that will leave her teetering on the very edge of anguish and strife. With each harrowing turn, Amethysta encounters devastating loss, uncovers the mortifying unknown, and comes face to face with the calamitous heartache that awaits her.

All the while, an enigmatic blue glow sleeps below the surface, ready to unfold a world of chaos.
