Tips on involving kids involved with Christmas at your home?
It’s so important to remember that Christmas should be fun. Too often, we all get stressed out about all we have to do during this time of year. Between shopping, entertaining, decorating, and now with Covid, the next month can be very trying for families everywhere. That’s why I think it’s very important to remember that this Christmas is one that will stand out in your children’s memories for decades to come.
The memories that you create around this Christmas season are ones your children will share with their children and their grandchildren. They’ll tell stories of the Christmas during the pandemic. Christmas without school. Christmas with face masks. And a Christmas like no other that they have ever experienced.
With that in mind, let’s fill our children’s memories with wonderful memories, projects, and traditions this Christmas season. We can start with decorating your Christmas tree. If the little ones are old enough, let them help hang ornaments on the tree. If they’re too young, have them join you for the decorating of the tree. In either instance, share the stories of the ornaments you’re hanging. In Oliver the Ornament, we’ve trademarked a line that says: Every Ornament Tells a Story.
