Trust me, the huge, terrifying vampire told me.

Easier said than done. I’d been frightened of Umbra’s league of hardened, trained killers; this vampire had torn through them like tissue paper.

Oh, that first sight of him upstairs. He was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. Towering at over seven feet tall, red eyes gleaming with ancient, alien intelligence. And that body, three hundred pounds of pure muscle, grace, and power, exuding a raw, potent sexuality.

My shameful intuition had whispered the truth.

This is Greyson in his true form.

I hated my intuition, but it had never betrayed me as badly as that moment.
