Top 5 Books with Love Triangles I Want to Read

Posted on March 27, 2021 By Jenna No Comments on Top 5 Books with Love Triangles I Want to Read

For the first time in ages and ages, I’m going to answer this week’s Top 5 Saturday question: Top 5 Books with Love Triangles I Want to Read. This is a book blogger meme created and maintained by Devouring Books since 2018.

One of these days I’m finally going to read The Selection by Kiera Cass (and the rest of the series, of course) and I hear this one has a love triangle. I’m more drawn in by the debutante thing and the beautiful covers. I love the fact that it’s a YA Dystopian of the Sci-Fi persuation and I don’t mind at all that there’s a strong romantic plotline, even though I rarely read romance. The best romances, if you ask me, are the ones that are subplots in SFF novels.

Hot British Boyfriend is more of a true romance-first genre book and therefore not normally something I would have on my radar, but this book was talked up a lot during the HCC Frenzy winter 2021 catalogue preview event and it sounds really cute. Cute enough that I want to give it a try even though it’s not my genre. I didn’t get an ARC of this one, but I’ll definitely find it on Libby sometime. In fact, let’s go check and see if the audiobook is available for library loan yet…

Yup, it is! Hold placed…

I heard about Love in English at the same HCC Frenzy event and I actually do have an eARC that I’m extremely late on reviewing. I got too many winter ARCs! *looks sheepish*

I’m looking forward to reading this one for the immigrant experience part of the story. These are the sort of stories I like to explore, to better understand those experiences so I can be a better friend and ally.

Furyborn is a high fantasy that has been on my TBR for about two years now, and honestly, I don’t actually know that much about it. I went looking for more love triangle books to fill out my answer here and I didn’t realize this one has a love triangle. Surprise, I guess! It does.

Once again, this is one I’ll probably end up getting to via Libby audiobook loan. *Scrolls through Libby shelf* Yup, actually I’ve got this one in the “deliver later” holding pattern right now. I’ve got a few books with higher priority on loan right now and a couple more coming in, so it’ll be a while before I accept this one, but when I’m ready I’ll have it within a fortnight from decided I want it. Future review!

The Iron King has been sitting on my shelf for years. I found it in a drug store near my bus stop while waiting and bored one day years ago as a university student and I guess the synopsis sounded interesting. Somehow I haven’t read it yet and I couldn’t tell you off the top of my head what it’s about, but it came up on a list of fantasy books with love triangles, so here’s my 5th and final answer!

How about you? Any love triangles on your TBR?
