Their love could give him a second chance at life-or condemn her to an eternity of damnation.

Yanked from his tortured existence in Netherworld and dumped naked in the Louisiana Bayou, Lash could swear he’s died and gone to heaven. Except for the fact that a millennium ago he died a condemned soul, forever barred from Paradise. His new life feels like the next best thing, full of small miracles. Like silence. And ice water. And the company of a beautiful, compassionate woman.

Teva is a woman with a taste for heavy-metal music, an inherited talent for magic, and a trusting heart. She knows nothing about the mysterious stranger she’s taken in, only that he needs her help. And the fact that he’s gorgeous hasn’t escaped her attention. She can’t see Lash as anything other than a sexy, gentle man who soothes her nightmares away. Then Lash learns the real reason for his reprieve from Netherworld-he’s been sent to corrupt Teva’s soul with sinful pleasures. Starved for tenderness and aching with desire, Lash yearns to accept the loving embrace Teva offers. But he can’t give in to passion without tainting her, condemning her to the horrors of Netherworld.

The ultimate battle between good and evil is brewing, and Lash stands caught in the middle between Teva, who owns his heart-and Satan, who owns his soul.

“Ready for your first s’mores?”

“Yes.” He placed his palm on his bent knee.

“Great.” She got the chocolate and graham cracker ready before she withdrew marshmallow from another storage bag. “Okay, first we melt these puppies.”

He frowned, but took the offered utensil and shoved several marshmallows onto the tongs. “These don’t look like puppies.”

“Oh, well, no.” She laughed. “Sorry. Figure of speech. Okay, now stick them above the flames until they get nice and gooey.” She passed him hers, so she could bag everything back up. “Gosh, these are going to be so good. It’s been a long time since I’ve done this.”

The flames licked at the sweet treats.

“Thank you.” Their fingers touched as she took back her long fork.

“You’re welcome. Better than French toast, huh?”

“Oh, yeah. You just wait.”

The marshmallow didn’t take long to melt to perfection. Teva licked her lips when she pulled the treats from the flames.

Nic withdrew his fork, too.

“Next, we slap these babies between these crackers and chocolate.”

Nic tested the marshmallow with his fingers.

“Careful, they’re hot.”

He didn’t seem to notice as he brought a smidgen to his mouth. He closed his eyes. “It’s good. Sweet.”

“See, but it gets better.” She worked her marshmallows off the tongs and onto her cracker. “Now, make your sandwich.” After placing her s’mores on a spare storage bag, she collected everything and reached for his fork. “I’m going to put these in some soapy water to soak, while mine cools.”

He nodded, already nibbling on his dessert.

Chore complete, she settled back down beside Nic on the blanket. “So, what do you think?”

“I think you were right.” He licked his fingers clean.

“I told you they were great.” She extended hers toward his mouth. “Want some of mine?”

“You sure?”

“Yep. Have a bite.” Like she needed the calories.

She blinked at the giant chunk he took. And then she laughed. “Wow, you have a big mouth.”

“I thought I’d better take a big bite in case that’s all I was offered.” He licked his lips.

Teva laughed easily. The guy was so honest. “Here, have another. We can make more.”

Nic took a smaller bite. “Thank you for sharing, but we don’t have to make more. Unless you want to.”

“One is enough for me.” They could be overly sweet, especially since they’d each used a full bar of chocolate. “But are you sure?”

She should’ve asked him before putting everything away. She’d been used to eating them with her mom. One had always been enough for them.

“Yes, I’m sure.” His hair fell across his face, shielding his gaze.

She offered him her last bite. His lips sucked her fingers into his mouth along with the treat. She gasped, quivering in pleasure as the suction raced all the way to her sex.

Nic kept sucking her fingers until he caught her wrist in his rough palm. Her heart beat wildly. He placed a kiss in the center of her hand. His lips traveled along her wrist and up her arm. She couldn’t think, only shift closer to him.

“Ooh…” She moaned and tilted her head to the side when he reached her shoulder. A rush of liquid desire dampened her panties. How long had she wanted this? Wanted Nic. Warm lips and a wet tongue played across her skin. “Oh…” No way to catch her breath. She panted. Sweet sensations burst with every touch of his mouth. The trembling in her body increased with every caress of his hands.

A delicious need pulsed in her center. Teva clutched at his strong shoulders as he laid her back on the blanket and claimed her mouth in what had to be the hottest kiss of her life. She enjoyed the lingering taste of chocolate as much as she enjoyed the heat of his mouth devouring hers. His hunger curled her toes and arched her hips.

Nic’s tongue relentlessly stroked and teased with hers to play in-between nibbles of his teeth on her lips. She clasped his face. Over and over, her hips arched to rub his rigid cock.
